EDIT: Brightened/fired up the glow. Better, worse, or no difference? @__@;
*dies* ...
This is for the nifty playing card deck project going on here -> [link] ... Which you've all surely heard about by now. I got a head start since I neeeeed to do some portfolio-worthy stuff (man am I regretting all that fanart) for a class in a couple of weeks.
Not much else to be said. I'm incredibly pleased with the picture, except for the dress not being 100% centered but since it'll be chopped off in the card version just under the end of the bottom chains, I'm not entirely fussed.
If you'd like to help give constructive comments, I would like to know if the picture is too dark. Not sure if my monitor is set properly, I think it might be too bright.. as opposed to the old one which was too dark XD ... Also curious as to whether I should do anything more with the background, or if that would detract from everything else. Other comments are welcome as well (did I forget to erase any overflowing colours DX) of course.
Done in Painter 8 with gauche brushes. Mmm painterly
Mm, it does seem a bit dark. Maybe you should make the heart glow/shine a little more.
I like her dress, and her hair. It looks very ... can't think of the right word for it. Uh, mysterious? I also like the red and green thing, but I think maybe you should have a little more light, or lighter colours.
wow i am in love with the shading. it looks so professionally done and and.... -cant think of much more to say-
I love how theres green highlights too. This is so inspiring +_+

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
The Cutting Edge is a weekly article that features brand new selected high quality art products that caught our eyes. Check out the cutting edge prints some of your fellow artists have submitted in the past week!
